Dr. Monday Nenfa Solomon is an astute believer in the potential of the country to offer quality health care to every individual. His interest in the health and safety of women generally, attracted him to undergo Postgraduate Medical Specialist training and qualified as a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) in April 2014, and this qualified him to work as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. He is also an expert in Assisted Reproductive Technology after acquiring the certificate of Post Fellowship in Infertility and Assisted Reproductive Technology (PF-IART) from the West African College of Surgeons. Dr. Monday is a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS) and a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC). Acquiring new knowledge has been the driving force that necessitated him to enroll in the University of Suffolk, United Kingdom for his Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA).
He worked at Nisa Premier Hospital, Abuja from 2014 to September 2023, where he contributed significantly to the provision of high-quality obstetric (antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care) and gynaecological care to patients as well as offering personalised fertility treatments and other reproductive health care services. He has attended several courses locally and internationally and is a member of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), the Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of Nigeria (SOGON), and the Association for Fertility and Reproductive Health (AFRH).
He was the Head of the IVF department at Nisa from 2018 to 2023. As initially, the Clinical Director (2019) and later, the Medical Director (2019-2023), he made very critical decisions relating to the health of patients, and in Administration, making the hospital win several awards in the healthcare industry and the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS) from the Standards Organisation of Nigeria. These are in addition to some personal awards in leadership and healthcare delivery. He also served on many committees and he was the Chairman of the Continuing Medical Education (CME) committee and Chairman of the Work, Ethics, Productivity and Appraisal Commission (WEPAC). He was a member of the Board of Directors of Nisa Premier Hospital and Nisa-Garki Hospital. He emulates his teachers and mentors in their leadership approaches and clinical practice and he is a co-founder of Cardinal Care Hospital and Maternity, Abuja.
